Dr. Faryn Dunn

Meet Dr. Faryn

Faryn is a 2011 graduate of Texas A&M University where she received her Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology. After graduating, she became a certified personal trainer through NASM, the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Working with individuals with a wide variety of activity levels and exercise backgrounds, and training clients who had residual strength, balance and flexibility deficits from past injuries and surgeries inspired Faryn to pursue a career in the physical therapy field.

After gaining experience as a PT tech, she attended the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Carroll Community College, graduating in 2015. While in college, Faryn gained clinical experience in a variety of settings including acute care, inpatient and outpatient orthopedics, and sports medicine. Her background as both a personal trainer and a PTA, and her work experience both in school and since graduating have helped prepare Faryn to work with patients with a variety of backgrounds, activity levels, age ranges, and rehabilitation goals. Faryn believes in a multifaceted approach to treating patients, using manual therapy and specific exercises to improve body mechanics, increase strength, increase flexibility and improve balance to help patients improve their level of functioning, return to their previous level of physical activity and decrease pain.

In her spare time, Faryn enjoys working out, hiking with her husband and family, gardening, and walking her dog, Reese.
